Union Budget 2016-17 :- Preview
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will table the Union Budget in Parliament for the financial year 2017 on February 29, 2016, which will be a key event for all market participants. Amid ongoing global headwinds, investors would look forward to some key reforms that could provide growth momentum. Like every year, industries are ready with a bunch of expectations from the ministry and again it will not be easy for the finance minister to live fully up to expectations.
Key things to watch-out in Union Budget 2016-17:
· Government stance towards achieving the fiscal target on the backdrop of derailing of disinvestment plan of most of the PSUs
· Managing the expenditure with giving push to the infrastructure spending growth
· Clarity on the roadmap of implementing GST
· Rationalizing the tax revenue at the cost of different concessions
· Giving emphasis on Public - Private Partnership (PPP) project to make up for a shortfall in investment spending by government.
